Baring my heart.

Mysterious as the dark side of the moon.

Here comes the sun

Here are some photos of the sun that I’ve taken over the past several weeks that I’ve been meaning to post up.

gap in the clouds

I was in the library at uni one day doing some research and downloading some updates (taking advantage of the faster-than-at-home wi-fi :P). I can’t remember if I stood up and looked out or if I looked up at the window that was sort of hiding behind the top of the desk I was working at. But I looked out and saw this amazing image of the sun’s rays emerging from a gap in the clouds. It had been really cloudy in the recent days/weeks (it was usually forecasted to rain), and to see just a bit of sunshine brought joy to whoever saw it. I know I sound really cheesy right now, but it’s the truth. Taken with my brand new iPhone 4S, September 17 2012, 5:33PM.

I’m (eventually) going to Disneyland!

[UPDATE 09.10.2012] My robots and rocket ship have now gone up on the Space Base 8 blog! Check ’em out at the following links:

In 2008-2009 I discovered RSS feeds and as a result got quite addicted to reading and subscribing to various webcomics. I’m pretty sure that at one point I was subscribed to a little over a hundred, maybe even over 150. Since then I’ve cut down that list to under 30 (still diminishing even now), and one of those that I absolutely love reading is Space Base 8.

I discovered Space Base 8 before it even began. The author, David Scott Smith, had begun writing a blog about his journey to create Space Base 8, called Monkey Always Wins. I think it was the title that drew me to it, out of all things. A monkey that always wins? Intriguing!

I watched YouTube videos and wrote a blog as a break from typing up essays

Some days when I’m at the library I don’t even do anything related to uni. I just watch some YouTube videos. Also, last week we got a new internet plan at home so it’s faster and I can actually watch YouTube vids at home. Here are a few videos and songs that I’ve discovered in the past few months that I enjoyed.

“The Beat” by Ben Rector. It’s a catchy song with a head-boppin’ beat.
