In between blogs

by Danica

I set a personal deadline to post a blog by midnight Sunday night, but not only have I been too lazy to post, I’m also still trying to collect my thoughts. I’ve just come out of a very tough spiritual drought, and I wanted to share my experience with whoever was willing to read. Old habits die hard, so trying to do something that I’ve told myself to do by a set time is a little difficult.

Anyway, while I’m still working on the blog that was due 3, 4 days ago, here’s a filler blog. I will just type about a few things that have made this past week a little more enjoyable than the last few.

Walkin’ the walk

I made a daring move. I stood up on my own two feet and walked. Walked, you say? Yes, I walked. This is a metaphorical walk, not a literal one, of course. I’ve been able to physically walk for as long as I remember. In fact, my parents told me that I took my first steps in a David Jones store. Hah.

This walk that I speak of is the walk that I will be babbling about in the blog that’s overdue – my spiritual walk. I don’t want to go into much detail right now. I’ll do this when I post the overdue blog. I’ve actually been working on it in between classes at uni. Actually writing it in a book. Then I’ll type up the final and post it here.*

Go, go, go!

This morning, I woke up to a text message from my connect leader. I’m not sure whether she sent this to everyone in our connect, or if this was just to me, but it seemed to fit perfectly with what I’m going through:

Don’t let anything or anyone discourage you. Now you decided to make a change and move forward. Just go for it – go, go, go!

Thanks Christine 🙂

Through it all

This was today’s Apokalips comic. I dunno, I just really liked it. I had to read it twice because the first time, I didn’t read it in the correct order:

052_Love_Again

– “Keep moving forward.” – Walt Disney

* [UPDATE 01.12.2010] I don’t think I ended up writing that post, let alone finish writing the draft. If I remember correctly, I don’t think I was able to write it without giving out too much personal info. So I gave up on it completely. [/UPDATE]
